Diskussion:Plus und Torpedo Diskussion

Hello, this article is very interesting and my Plus and Torpedo machines act exactly in the described way. Last week i was in Pisa and i was allowed to test their  Plus adder. I was very surprised because digits was added in pressing the keys, not in releasing the keys. I.E. it is working as Torpedo does. Why?

My guess is that this feature was an improvement not present in first Plus models. Pisa's machine is very old. This is an improvement, because if digit is summed in pressing the key, operator could press only partially the key and add a lower digit.

My obvious question is: how work first Comptometer models?

By the way, we can note that Italian Gica (you can see it in  maker biography) and Vinci adders work like Torpedo. They sums digits in pressing keys. Celli 10:25, 25. Nov 2013 (CET)
