"Logarithmic calculators.-Relates to apparatus for solving the range problem involved in obtaining the range from a gun station G, Fig. 6, to an invisible target (indirect-fire) B by means of angular measurements from two observation stations A, C at a known distance apart, by means of a repeated application of the law of sines in a plane triangle, the invention consisting primarily in deriving from the movements of manually-set members movements proportional to their logarithms, and in then adding and subtracting these values. ..."
