"No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Proportional calculators.-A proportional instrument comprises a frame A with a graduated base over which are disposed two pointers B, C adapted to be traversed over the base by the rotations of the shafts D, E on which they are mounted. The shafts are provided with discs F, M, frictionally engaging a disc G, the disc F being at a fixed distance from the centre of the disc G while the distance of the disc M can be adjusted and set to determine the relative speeds at which the pointers B, C are displaced when the disc G is rotated by the knob H."
